St. Mary Reservoir
360 Video Saint Mary Reservoir
DescriptionSt. Mary Reservoir is a lake created by the St. Mary's dam. This lake is quite large so would make a good all day trip.
I like to start from the sandy beach from Wally's Beach. LevelBeginner - Intermediate (when there is a wind)
Distance12 Km from one end to the other (from dam to where the river comes in).
Duration:This could easily be a day trip or a couple of hours depending on how far you want to go.
Access (Land Agency)There are a number of places with public access where you can launch your boat on the southeast end of the lake. There is also a launch point on the north end of dam. You could launch from almost any road that accesses the reservoir.
DirectionsFrom highway 5 turn off at Spring Coulee and go West on 505. Go and just before you reach the dam you can turn left and follow the signs to Wally's Beach. Alternatively it looks like there is a take in spot just on the North side of the dam - I haven't checked that out yet.
